Project architect

Brussels

Una|a is looking for a senior project architect, holding at least 10 years of experience, to join our Brussels-based international team. Reporting to the director and associates, you are expected to provide architectural support for a variety of projects across all different work stages. With plenty of technical and job management experience you will be equally comfortable in self-directed work as you are at working within our motivated team. 

The ability to lead a team, solve problems, think creatively and work calmly under pressure are all essential skills to the role.

Key  responsibilities

- manage a team to deliver projects within financial budgets and deadlines

- work closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers and structural engineers as well as clients

- attend and report site meetings follow-up 

- carry out site inspections, evaluations, issue certificates and instructions as part of public or private contracts

- liaise with statutory authorities as required at all stages of the project. Ensure compliance with all statutory legislation

- manage the project from inception to completion (submission file, quantity, details, site monitoring etc.)

- attend, report at and chair design team meetings with other project consultants

Matching profile

- architect or architectural engineer

- minimul 10 years relevant professional experience both on conceptual and technical level

- good knowledge of regulations (Brussels, Flandre, Wallonie)

- experience with public procurements

- proficient in using Office 

- familiarity with ArchiCad

- fluent in French and Dutch

- an effective communicator within the team as well as a confident public speaker

- be a positive and engaging force, with a real commitment to continue developing the studio's culture and to act as an ambassador for UNAA

Interior designer

Brussels

Una|a is searching a passionate interior designer with background in retail, hospitality and residential spaces. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional design talent, be self-motivated and eager to be working in a collaborative team setting.

Key  responsibilities

- develops proactive approach to work proving social awareness to residential, hotel and commercial spaces.

- collate all hand-over documents into a presentable format for the client

- is capable of working with physical models and drawings, including both digital and analog exploratory methods of design

- assist in the production of tender, architecture competitions and construction packages

- sustain an awareness of current building regulation codes

- is able to contribute design ideas with the latest materials on the market, keeping an eye on sustainability and circular design

Matching profile

- bachelor’s degree or equivalent in interior design or another related field

- a highly creative and curious spirit with an up-to-date vision of interior design tendencies and best practices

- ability to contribute design ideas with the latest materials on the market

- 3D modelling and rendering experience, with ArchiCad, V-Ray/Corona and SketchUp, Grasshopper, Twinmotion

- profficient in using Adobe PhotoShop and Indesign

- open-minded, interdisciplinary thinking and self-motivation ability

- adhere to the studio’s philosophy and values

- excellent organisational and time management skills

CAD / BIM support specialist

Brussels

Una|a is is looking for an architect with specialised skills in digital delivery of projects to join the digital design and technology group in Brussels. The BIM support specialist is a key role within the studio’s digital design supporting all projects through all stages, from concept to delivery. Responsibilities include technical upskilling and mentoring architects to help them more efficient, productive and familiar with the digital design strategy, technology and workflows.

Key  responsibilities

- collaborate with the team accross all stages of the project through technical support, using design-authoring tools

- monitor the models for quality and content throughout the project delivery process and at specific delivery milestones

- create and develop technical documentation

- become the reference contact for matters concerning the drawing files, graphic conventions and technical details

- adapt and maintain software standards and templates

- engage with the team in order to improve our software and tools 

- participate in dedicated BIM coordinators workshops, in order to keep an up-to-date view of best practices

Matching profile

- architect or architectural technician

- minimum 5 years’ experience working in an architectural design and project delivery environment

- proficiency in ArchiCad and BIM

- good knowledge of current building regulations (Brussels, Flandre, Wallonie)

- thorough knowledge of technical aspects

- ability to work in a team with an aptitude for problem-solving

- resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively 

- willing to give software/process training to new and existing users from the team
